Design Group UK staff raising funds for UK National Armed Forces Day
An air of the 1940’s War Time spirit was evident last Friday at Design Group UK Wales. To the background wail of a World War II air raid siren Ladies donned period costume and served tea & cakes to raise money for the UK National Armed Forces Day charities. Best costume was won by Page suitably attired in period military uniform, and ranked Sergeant – Yes Maam! – whilst Laura was a close second bringing to life the classic 40’s look synonymous with Vera Lynn. Andrea and Ellie came in third place cleverly reminding us of the ‘home front’ and the superb effort The Land Girls made to the War effort in helping to feed the Nation.
We were reminded that 365 days/year and 24/7 our proud & courageous Armed Forces protect our Nation, our way-of-life and, ever present, are representing Britain’s best interest abroad. Thank you to the Men and Women of our Armed Forces!
