Design Group UK Grows its Partnership with the Woodland Trust to Support Free Trees for Schools and Communities

We are proud to announce the next chapter of our long-standing partnership with the Woodland Trust, committing to supporting UK biodiversity in 2026 by funding free tree packs for schools and communities across the UK.

Through our Eco Nature brand we have committed to supporting future generations through the Woodland Trust’s Free Trees for Schools and Communities scheme, funding free trees where they are needed most.

In 2026, Eco Nature will fund 7,575 UK-grown native trees which will be distributed to schools and community groups across the UK via the free tree packs scheme. These packs empower people of all ages to plant trees locally, helping to increase tree cover, boost biodiversity and create greener spaces in areas where they are most needed.

Delivered by the Woodland Trust — the UK’s largest woodland conservation charity — the free tree packs scheme gives thousands of schools and community groups access to native trees each year, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to plant a tree and connect with nature.

All Eco Nature products are made in the UK from recycled materials and are fully recyclable. The brand continues to focus on practical actions that support nature, education and local communities.

As a funder of the Woodland Trust’s free trees scheme, Eco Nature will help raise awareness of the initiative and encourage more schools and community groups to apply. Tree pack applications are currently open for delivery in November 2026, giving schools and community groups the opportunity to plan and take part in planting for the next generation.

“When Eco Nature launched in 2019, our goal was to positively influence environmental change through our retail network and redefine sustainability within the celebrations category. our partnership with the Woodland Trust has been fundamental to Eco Nature since inception. Expanding this partnership reflects our commitment in action, allowing us to support schools and communities by funding free tree packs and contributing to increased tree cover and biodiversity through the planting of native trees.” – Brand & Marketing Manager – Katie Brickle

“We’re delighted that Eco Nature is now supporting schools and communities through our free tree packs scheme, helping turn shared spaces into greener, healthier places to grow. This next chapter with Eco Nature marks an exciting step forward in our longstanding and valued partnership. Given the challenges woods and trees are facing today, it’s great to have this renewed support for our mission, showing what we can achieve together when partners step up for nature.” – Sam Tarrant, Woodland Trust Head of Partnerships.
